Available Positions

The following is a list of student employment opportunities by catagory. If we are hiring for a position, it will be noted next to the job title. If you are interested in a position, please stop by the SRC Administration Office for a job application or download an application form here . The supervisor for the area hiring will contact you after they receive your application.

Please note: students must be enrolled in six (6) academic credit hours or more to be eligible for student employment at the Student Recreation Complex.

Aquatics Positions

Lifeguard - $7.25 per hour - Hiring

Lifeguards are responsible for guarding the pool, providing a safe environment and maintaining the pool area. The SRC is committed to providing an environment where people are safe, valued, and acknowledged.

Must have the following certifications: Lifeguarding, CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED. Life guard Candidate are required to swim 500yds, retrieve a 10lb brick, tread water for two (2)minutes and complete rescue skills.

Water Safety Instructor - $10.25 per hour - Not Hiring

Water Safety Instructors are responsible for instructing swim lesson programs offered at the Student Recreation Complex. All instructors must be certified as American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors and instruct according to the Red Cross guidelines.

Must have the following certifications: Lifeguarding, CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED. WSI’s are required to swim 500yds, retrieve a 10lb brick, tread water for two (2)minutes and complete rescue skills.

Must be currently enrolled at an Arizona State University student and be progressing towards a degree.

Safety Education Instructor - $10.25 per hour - Not Hiring

Safety Education instructors are responsible for teaching a variety of American Red Cross safety education courses including lifeguard training, CPR/AED for the professional rescuer/AED, and first aid.

Must have certifications current at their level of training and skills.

Must be currently enrolled at an Arizona State University student and be progressing towards a degree.

Facility Staff

Access Assistant - $7.00 per hour - Hiring

The Access Control Assistant is responsible for the monitoring participant’s membership entering the Student Recreation Complex. Assist with patron questions and SRC membership. The Access Assistant is responsible for upholding all rules and regulations established by the Recreational Sports Department.

Equipment Room Assistant - $7.00 per hour - Not Hiring
An Equipment Room Assistant provides quality customer service, rental agreements, provides resources to customers and provides laundry services to membership. Must be currently enrolled at an Arizona State University student and be progressing towards a degree.

Equipment Room Supervisor - $7.25 per hour - Not Hiring
An Equipment Room Assistant provides quality customer service, handles cash register operations, rental agreements, provides resources to customers and provides laundry services to membership. Must be currently enrolled at an Arizona State University student and be progressing towards a degree.

Informal Recreation Supervisor - - $7.25 per hour - Hiring
The Informal Recreation Supervisor is responsible for the set-up and take-down of the informal and club sport equipment. They are responsible for the wipe down of cardio equipment and the basic supervision of the open recreation program.

Must have the following certifications: CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED, and First Aid.

Administrative Supervisor - $7.25 per hour - Hiring
The Administrative Supervisor is responsible for assisting the supervision of all operations that occur in the Student Recreation Complex Administrative Services which includes processing memberships, program registration and providing information about the SRC.

Must be currently enrolled at an Arizona State University student and be progressing towards a degree.

Information Desk Supervisor - $7.00 per hour - Hiring
The Information Desk Supervisor is responsible for answering the SRC main line, providing customer service and transferring calls on the multi-phone line. Directing individuals to meeting rooms, composing sport club rosters and data entry.

Must have the following certifications: CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED, and First Aid

Small Gym Assistant - $7.00 per hour - Not Hiring
The Small Gyms Assistant is responsible for access to and overall supervision of the small gym activities on the 2nd Level of the SRC. The Small Gyms Assistant is responsible for upholding all rules and guidelines established by Campus Recreation for employees and users.

Facility Manager - $8.25 per hour - Hiring
The Facility Manager is responsible for assisting with facility and personnel supervision to include, access control and special group/staff management which includes; monitoring building operations, enforcing policy/procedures, insuring general safety and maintaining customer satisfaction. The Facility Manager is responsible for the SRC EAP.

Must have the following certifications: CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED, First Aid, and Fire Extinguisher Training.

Site Specialist - $10.25 per hour - Hiring

The Site Specialist is responsible for the supervision of rental events held in Campus Recreation managed facilities. This includes coordinating facility space, set-up, equipment inventory, additional staff, clean up and tear down of rentals. This position serves as the contact between the SRC and community groups. Weekend hours are required.

Must have the following certifications: CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED, First Aid, and Fire Extinguisher Training.

Intramurals

Intramural Desk Assistant $7.25 per hour - Hiring

The Intramural Desk Assistant is responsible for assisting in the supervision and coordination of all operations that occur at the SRC Intramural Desk, which includes processing team registration and providing information about the intramural program to participants at the SRC.

Intramural Sports Official I $7.00 per hour - Hiring

Learn and apply the rules and regulations of sports activities in the game environment.

Learn and apply the rules and regulations of sports activities in the game environment. Assist with the training and evaluation of sports officials.

Intramural Sports Official III (Certified Sports Official) - $8.25 per hour - Hiring

Learn and apply the rules and regulations of sports activities in the game environment. Assist with the training and evaluation of sports officials. Assists with sports clinics.

Intramural Supervisor - $7.25 per hour - Hiring

Intramural Supervisor is responsible for supervising Intramural Sport programs and events conducted at the SRC and to ensure adherence to policies and procedures of the program and facility.

Program Manager - $8.25 per hour - Not Hiring

The program manager is responsible for supervision and management of sports programs. The manager's main duties include ensuring that equipment is ready and accessible to supervisors and officials while ensuring appropriate staff levels for each activity. The program managers responsibilities also include training and evaluation of supervisory and support staff, evaluation of sport programs, enforcement of program and SRC policies and procedures and ensuring high quality customer service within the program.

Scorekeeper - $7.00 - Hiring
The Scorekeeper is responsible for learning and applying specific games rules and program policies in a competitive sports environment. The Scorekeeper has regular contact with intramural athletes and is often responsible for diffusing confrontational situations that arise out of competition. Must be currently enrolled as an Arizona State University student and be progressing towards a degree.

Sport Club Positions

Sport Club Supervisor - $7.25 per hour - Hiring

The Sport Club Supervisor is responsible for the overall supervision of ASU facilities being utilized by SRC sponsored sport clubs. The Sports Club Supervisor is to uphold policies and procedures established for the sport club program and facilities it uses. The Sport Club Supervisor is also responsible for providing basic safety functions.

Kid’s Camp

Camp Managers - $8.25 per hour - Not Hiring

Camp Managers are responsible for supervising camp participants, activities and seeing to day-to-day camp management to ensure that the camp is enjoyable, safe, and organized for children ages 5-11. Day to day camp management includes, but is not limited to, supervision of camp staff, conducting discipline and reinforcement practices for campers and staff, conduct employee evaluations and overall teamwork with camp staff.

Must have the following certifications: CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED, First Aid, Fire Extinguisher Training.

Camp Supervisor - $7.25 per hour - Summer - Not Hiring

The Camp Supervisor is responsible for supervising camp participants, ages 5-11, attached JuCo participants, ages 12 to 15, leading activities (art and crafts, physical activities, story time, etc.), working as a team, with other Camp Supervisors and Camp Managers , to creatively encourage participation in all activities. Establish the first line of positive feedback and discipline practices, and field trip supervision.

Marketing

Graphic Designer - $8.25 per hour - Not Hiring

The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating flyers, handbooks, brochures and other promotional materials. The Graphic Designer is also responsible for duplicating and copying flyers, creating whiteboard displays, glass case displays and other marketing items as needed.

Marketing Asst. - $7.25 per hour - Not Hiring

Supervise operations of workroom including assisting Graphic Designer and copying flyers. Responsible for assisting program staff with their marketing needs.

The Web Developer is responsible for developing, coordinating and maintaining the SRC website as directed by the SRC Marketing Specialist.

Group Fitness Instructors - $10.25 per hour - Hiring

Student Recreation Complex Sun Devil Fit Instructors are responsible for leading safe, effective, and fun fitness classes for the Recreational Sports Department at Arizona State University . Fitness leaders are responsible for providing fitness classes, supervising group fitness participants, creating a supportive exercise environment, and developing fitness instruction skills and knowledge.

Group Fitness Instructors Sr. - $12.25 per hour - Hiring

Student Recreation Complex Sun Devil Fit Instructors are responsible for leading safe, effective, and fun fitness classes for the Recreational Sports Department at Arizona State University . Fitness leaders are responsible for providing fitness classes, supervising group fitness participants, creating a supportive exercise environment, and developing fitness instruction skills and knowledge.

Team Challenge

Team Challenge Facilitator -$10.25 per hour - Hiring

The Team Challenge Facilitator must value teamwork and work well with groups. This requires a lot of interacting and public speaking. Facilitators are involved with coordinating Team Challenges, facilitating activities, leading debriefs and organizing the structure to meet the goals of the group.

Weight Room

Weight Room Supervisor - $7.25 per hour - Hiring

The Weight Room Supervisor is responsible for supervising the services and programs of the SRC Weight Room and Circuit Training Room. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, enforcement of policies and procedures, ensure safety of users, and assist users with fitness equipment and programs.

Personal Trainers

Personal Trainer - $10.25 per hour - Not Hiring

The Personal Trainer is responsible for working one-on-one with clients, providing them with specific exercise programs in cardiovascular exercise, resistance training & flexibility. This position also teaches the benefits of exercise and wellness for a better quality of life through support, motivation, and expertise.

Must have the following certifications: CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED, First Aid, Fitness Certification ACE, NSCA, ACSM, or others as approved.

Must be currently enrolled at an Arizona State University student and be progressing towards a degree, preferably Exercise & Wellness, Kinesiology, Exercise Science/PE, or related fields.

Program Supervisor

Program Supervisor - $7.25 per hour - Not Hiring

The Program Supervisor is responsible for assisting the SRC professional staff with supervision of the daily operations of specific program operations.

Maintenance Coordinator

Maintenance Coordinator - $7.50 per hour - Not Hiring

Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for inventory, cleaning and overall maintenance of SRC Equipment, activity areas. Maintenance Coordinators must be self-motivated and willing to work independently on a variety of projects.
