Class Descriptions
Aqua Blast (45 minutes): Who says water aerobics can’t be fun? Get a cardiovascular workout with games and drills, as well as a total body resistance training workout using aqua dumbbells.
Basic Training: Formerly known as bootcamp. Get into great shape with military and athletic drills, aerobic, and anaerobic conditioning.
Breakfast Club: Start your morning right with a full serving of cardio and resistance training! Your instructor will combine choreographed floor aerobics (hi-lo), step, and strength to give you the energy to get through your day. Appropriate for all levels.
Cardio Combo: A little BOSU, a little kickboxing, a little step, a lot of fun! 45 straight minutes of cardiovascular conditioning. All levels welcome!
Cardio Kickboxing: This fitness based kickboxing class is designed to introduce technique and movements such as jabs, crosses, hooks, uppercuts, front kicks, side kicks, and knees. Plan on getting your 45-minutes of cardio in this class!
Cardio Swim: Sick of land classes? Get in the water! Your instructor has pre-set workouts (i.e., intervals, sprints, distance) focusing on the freestyle stroke. NOTE: These are NOT swim lessons - participants are expected to have a general understanding of proper swim form and technique. Recommended to be able to swim 100 m non-stop.
Club Step: If you love fast-moving and high energy classes, you will not want to miss this one! No holds barred...all choreography, no fluff. Intermediate to advanced - if you have never taken step, it is recommended to try Intro classes first before attending.
Dance Fusion and Core: An all-level dance class combining jazz, lyrical, ballet, and hip-hop styles of dance. Learn a new choreographed routine each class, and finish off conditioning your core!
Dynamic Strength: Never stop moving in this total body conditioning class designed to work every major muscle group in your body while keeping the heart rate elevated. May use weights, body bars, tubing, stability balls, etc.
Hard Core (30 minutes): Strengthen the muscles of your abs, back, hips, and pelvis, improve your posture, and leave feeling great!
H20 Extreme (45 minutes): This is NOT your granny’s water aerobics class! Like Bootcamp in the water – high-intensity drills, suspended work, and relays to get you into peak cardiovascular shape. This aqua class is primarily focused on cardiovascular conditioning with a small amount of upper-body conditioning.
Intro to Group Fitness: Want to start taking group fitness classes but intimidated by the choreography? This class will teach you the basics for proper form and technique in step, kickboxing, strength, and BOSU so you can take an intermediate class with confidence! The class format changes every week, so check the website to see what the format is for that week.
Jump and Pump: One of the best ways to increase lean body tissue and decrease body fat is with intervals of anaerobic exercise. This class focuses on intervals of plyometric exercise (jump) and resistance training (pump).
Kickbox and Abs: A combination of punches, kicks, and drills to condition your heart and muscles. Finish off with an extended ab workout.
On the Ball: Get a cardiovascular and muscular endurance workout utilizing the BOSU and stability balls. This class is appropriate for all levels.
Power Core & Stretch: Focus on conditioning your core (abs, obliques, low back, hips, and gluteals) with a variety of mat exercises. This class will also incorporate static stretching to increase flexibility throughout your whole body. Appropriate for all levels.
Short Circuit: Only have 45 minutes to get it all in? This is the class for you. No choreography, just 2 minute stations set up alternating aerobic and resistance training to hit all the major muscle groups. All levels.
Sport Stretch: Improve your performance in any of your physical activity endeavors by increasing your flexibility! This class focuses on static stretches designed to hit every muscle/joint in the body. All levels.
Step & Abs: A mid-level step class to increase your heart rate and condition your body. Finish off with an extended abdominal sequence. Some experience recommended.
Step Interval: Got step? A traditional mix-level choreographed routine with intervals of anaerobic and resistance training added in. Finish it all off with core conditioning!
TKO: Round One: Get FIT in this boxing conditioning class. You will wear boxing wraps and gloves (provided) and do drills on the heavy bag, hit pads, and cardiovascular intervals in 3-minute “rounds”. No choreography, no dancing – just straight drills to get your body into peak physical condition.
TKO: Round Two: Ready for the next step? Add kickboxing conditioning to your routine. Everything from TKO: Round One, with kicking drills included for a higher intensity total body workout.
Weekend Step Warriors: Get your weekend started right with 45 straight minutes of step choreography! You will finish off with some abs and low back conditioning as well as stretching. Some experience is recommended.
Zumba Party: "Ditch the workout, join the party!" A mix of salsa, merengue, cumbia, reggaeton, and hip hop - you won't feel like you are in a fitness class, you will feel like you are at a club! No experience necessary, all levels welcome.
