About the Clinic:

Physiotherapy Associates at the SRC offers physical therapy services for all members of the SRC including students, faculty and staff.  These services include: sports injury rehabilitation, orthopedic rehabilitation, manual therapy (hands-on mobilization of extremity joints, soft tissue and spine), gait training, therapeutic exercise (range of motion, endurance, strengthening), and therapeutic modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation).  We are accepting patients with a wide variety of orthopedic injuries, from the weekend ankle sprain to chronic back pain.  Anyone interested in receiving physical therapy at the SRC must have a referral from a licensed physician prior to making an appointment.

Staff Bios:

Thomas Albert, PT, DPT, ATC, CSCS
Thomas Albert is a staff physical therapist at Physiotherapy Associates Tempe SPORT Clinic.  Thomas graduated from Upper Iowa University with triple major in Athletic Training, Sport Science and Fitness.  He graduated from AT Still University in 2004 in Mesa, Arizona with a doctorate of Physical Therapy.  Thomas has traveled the country as a contract physical therapist in Arizona, Texas, Iowa, North Carolina and Virginia.  He is certified as a strength and conditioning specialist and is a Titleist certified Golf Fitness Instructor.  Thomas has toured the world with the Harlem Globetrotters as their PT, ATC since 2002.

Thomas is married to Amanda, who is also a physical therapist.  The new addition to their family is 7 month old, Chloe.

 

Chelsea Lohman, MAT, ATC, LAT, CSCS                    
Chelsea Lohman is the Outreach Coordinator for Athletic Training services at Physiotherapy Associates Tempe SPORT Clinic.  An Arizona native, she graduated from Arizona State University in 2005 with a degree in Kinesiology, emphasis in Exercise Science.  She then moved to Lubbock, Texas to attend Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center where she received a master's degree in Athletic Training.  Upon graduation, Chelsea returned to Tempe and began working for Physiotherapy Associates. She is a licensed athletic trainer and is certified as a strength and conditioning specialist.  As part of Physiotherapy Associates services at ASU, she also serves as the Head Athletic Trainer for all sport clubs on campus.

The SRC's parent clinic is the Tempe SPORT clinic located at 1025 E. Broadway Rd. (Broadway and Rural).  We provide physical therapy services in a state of the art facilitythat includes an indoor pitching mound, basketball, courts, pool, and Free motion exercise equipment.
