Hwa Rang Do

Description: Hwa Rang Do® (um-yang-kwon) is a comprehensive martial and healing art. Students learn philosophy, spirit and combat skills of the Hwarang warriors. Hwa Rang Do® uses over 4,000 physical techniques, 365 kicking combinations and over 108 weapons techniques, and emphasizes harmony of the mind and body and the cultivating KI (energy). Participants gain physical balance, endurance, flexibility, and strength and enhance energy, self-confidence, and focus.

Instructor: Ari and Eitan Asulin. Ari Asulin (25y) is a senior at Arizona State University and the head instructor of the ASU HwaRangDo TaeSooDo Club. He has been involved in martial arts since 2001 and has trained under Instructor Taehoon Kim and Master Tim Elliot of the North Phoenix HwaRangDo Academy.

Class materials: Participants are required to purchase training equipment and a Gi (uniform) is recommended– equipment will not be required for the first couple of weeks. Instructor will have information on purchasing.
