Facility Rentals

In an effort to better serve our campus population on the Tempe Community as a whole many of Arizona State’s Campus Recreation facilities and amenities are available to rent.  In accordance with the Department of Campus Recreation’s mission and goals we offer a three tiered fee base in order to best serve our primary target populations. 
Please peruse our facility options, hopefully one of them will suit your event.  And please do not hesitate to contact our facility staff with any questions that you may have. 
Many questions can be answered by reviewing our policies and procedures.  All policies and procedures have been put in place with patron and facility safety in mind, as well as making the use of our facility as simple as while staying in accordance with all state and university regulations.

     

Rental Guidelines

  1. Reservations must be submitted via the SRC Facility Rental Webpage.
  2. Reservations must be made at least 3 weeks in advance. 
  3. Any cancellations by community groups after two weeks prior to the event will forfeit their deposit.
  4. Any cancellations by student organizations* or university departments after one week prior to the event will be charged a cancellation fee that will be the equivalent of two hours of personnel costs, most typically $20.50.
  5. Food must be approved by the SRC, and have completed a food waiver with the Memorial Union. FOOD WILL NOT BE PERMITTED WITHOUT A COMPLETED WAIVER.
  6. A formal rental agreement, or contract, must be issued by the SRC.  This is required before reservation is considered officially reserved.  All contracts must have the signatures of both parties.
  7. Exact details of the event must be submitted to and approved by the SRC.  This is required before reservation is considered officially reserved.
  8. All necessary university paperwork (EH&S Fire and Safety Permit, Food Waiver, Proof of Insurance, etc.) must be completed and all associated fees must be paid.  This is required before reservation is considered official reserved.
  9. A deposit, if necessary according to agreement or contract, must be received by specified date. Required before reservation is considered officially reserved.
  10. In addition to the rental fee, additional cost may be associated to the event for set-up, security, site supervisors and clean-up.
  11. The SRC reserves the right to cancel the event based on inclement weather, or any unforeseen circumstances.
  12. Non-University Groups, even if sponsored by an Arizona State University Organization, are required to provide a $1,000,000 certificate of liability insurance listing Arizona State University, the Arizona Board of Regents, and the State of Arizona as additional insurers.

 * All ASU student organizations must be registered at the SORC located on the 3rd floor of the Memorial Union. Student Organizations may only reserve up to two dates a semester.

Outdoor Facility Rental Form

Many of our facilities are available to rent for events, tournaments, conferences, classes, and other occasions. Facilities which may be available include the outdoor basketball courts, dasherboard courts, tennis courts, sand volleyball courts and fields.

Looking for something different to do with your student organization, department or group? Why not rent out the pool at the SRC? Cost depends on the area of pool rental and additional staffing necessary.

Inflatable Movie Screen Rental Form

Our 10ft x 8ft inflatable movie screen is perfect for outdoor events, dive-in movies, lock-ins and gatherings for watching major sporting events. The rental includes a projector and two large speakers. The system has VHS, DVD, and Direct TV Satellite capabilities.
