Commit to Get Fit
Commit to Get Fit is a 5-week small group training program where clients with similar goals and fitness levels meet with their trainer 2 times a week for one hour per session. Each group is limited to 4 clients, so register early to ensure your spot!
- If clients would like to reserve their spot on one of the groups prior to open registration (June 9th) they need to contact Brittany Brokaw (Brittany.Brokaw@asu.edu) and indicate which group they would like to join.
- To register, go the administration desk located in the front of the SRC. Clients may register individually or with friends.
Please Note: Students who are not taking a summer class must purchase a membership to be a member of the SRC for the summer.

Summer 2 Groups
5-WEEK COURSES, July 7 - August 8
Trainer: BRITTANY BROKAW/ JULIE RYAN Triathlon Training on M/W 8-9a.m. (July 14-August 13) FULL!Level: All. Maybe you have been thinking about doing your first triathlon, or just enjoy the events (swim, bike, run). This is a great group to learn proper form and technique for all three events, and get moving! The group will begin with introducing each of the events individually, then progress to working through transitions and strategy. Trainer: JULIE RYAN Fitness Swimming T/TH 8-9a.m. (July 15-August 14) FULL!
*Level: Intermediate. Want to add swimming as a part of your workout, but not really sure how to design a plan. The instructor will focus on freestyle and breaststroke by combining sets and drills that will build your endurance and technique. The instructor will also teach your group progressive workouts that you can build on over time as your endurance strengthens. *Prerequisites- Must be able to swim 200 yards (8 lengths of the pool) without taking a prolonged break.

Fat Loss on T/TH 12-1p.m. FULL!
*Level: All. Is your primary goal to lower your body fat and increase lean body tissue? If so, this is the perfect group to join. Through a series of workouts combining cardio and weights, you will boost your metabolism and get into the fat burning zone!

*Level: All. Is your primary goal to lower your body fat and increase lean body tissue? If so, this is the perfect group to join. Through a series of workouts combining cardio and weights, you will boost your metabolism and get into the fat burning zone. If you are trying to get into great shape but hate the traditional gym workouts, you will love this group. Brian will work you through a combination of aerobic, anaerobic, and resistance training to push your body to it’s maximum potential. Each workout is different, so you will never be bored!

1. Basic Fitness on M/W 12:15-1:15
*Level: Beginner. You will learn the basics of cardiovascular training, weight training, and flexibility. Learn how to exercise properly to reach your goals, and create a workout program to continue through the semester.
2. Beginning Resistance Training on T/Th 12:15-1:15
*Level: Beginner. You will learn how to use all the pieces of equipment in the weight room, circuit training room, and loft; as well as free weights, physioballs, BOSU’s, and other functional pieces. Josh will teach you the fundamentals to create your own weight lifting program that you can adjust to your specific needs.

1. Circuit Training on T/Th 6-7 pm -
*Level: All. Learn how to make the most of your time when you are working out. Each session will include a combination of cardio and resistance training to maximize your fat burning potential in minimal time.
Trainer: SARAH VETRO
1. Running Training on M/W 7-8 am
*Level: All. Are you training for a 5K, 10K, half-marathon, or marathon? Or maybe just looking to improve your running? This is the group for you. Sarah will teach you the proper progressions, technique, and form to prepare for your event as well as exercises to prevent common injuries that occur from running.
2. Bootcamp on M/W 8:30-9:30am OR T/Th 4-5 pm (two separate groups)
*Level: All. If you are trying to get into great shape but hate the traditional gym workouts, you will love this group. Sarah will work you through a combination of aerobic, anaerobic, and resistance training to push your body to it’s maximum potential. Each workout is different, so you will never be bored!
3. Fat Loss on T/Th 5:15-6:15pm
*Level: All. Is your primary goal to lower your body fat and increase lean body tissue? If so, this is the perfect group to join. Through a series of workouts combining cardio and weights, you will boost your metabolism and get into the fat burning zone!
4. Fat Loss on M/W 5:15-6:15pm -

4. Women’s Weight Training on T/Th 6:30-7:30pm
• Level: All. If you want to learn how to lift weights properly and learn the correct sequence of exercises and training sessions, this is a great group to do just that. Only women!

1. Core and Flexibility on M/W 9:30-10:30am **this course begins May 26th and ends June 25th**
* Level: All. Learn how to properly train your core (abdominals, obliques, hips, lower back) to minimize injury during exercise and daily life. Increase your flexibility with the comprehensive program working on every major joint.
